Casual Disability Support Worker - Wallaroo

Bedford Day Options programme offers a wide variety of recreational,
leisure and developmental activities for people with disabilities.
The programme encourages people with a disability to become more
independent by gaining life and social skills in a caring and supportive
environment.
As a Disability Support Worker your role will include development of living
skills including hands on training, skills identification and personal support
where necessary.
To succeed in this role you will have:
• Certificate 3 or 4 in Community Services, Disability Work or equivalent;
• Experience in independent living training, recreation and community
based activities, in particular for persons with high support needs;
• Ability to plan/coordinate community based pre-vocational options;
• Senior First Aid Certificate;
• Current Driver’s License;
• Ability to promote community awareness of persons with a disability
and their needs.

Youth Workers – Case Management

Expressions of Interest are being sought for suitably qualified Youth Workers within the southern metropolitan and northern country region of South Australia (Port Pirie).
You will be part of a supported team dedicated to working with young people who are disengaged, or at risk of disengaging from school. You will provide individualised case management tailored to young people’s needs, while identifying and maximising opportunities such as accredited and non-accredited training opportunities; and other community resources to assist with on-going engagement and empowerment.
Utilising your ability to moderate challenging behaviour, you will also have minimum qualification in Cert IV Youth Work and applied knowledge of Juvenile Justice and Administrative reporting processes.
