Youth Worker

We are looking for a self-motivated, passionate and experienced youth worker to join our supportive and evolving Training Team. You will be working with young people in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from school, while helping them transition from Primary School to High School. You will case manage up to 20-25 individuals, while identifying and maximising opportunities such as accredited and non-accredited training opportunities and other community resources to assist with on-going engagement and empowerment.
Other responsibilities will include reporting and case note management.

To be successful in this role you must possess the following:
Essential:
• Certificate 4 in Youth Work
• DECS Police Clearance
• Experience in ICAN or FLO
• Experienced in Microsoft Office
• Experience in youth work or case work with young people
• Proven ability in building rapport and engaging young people
• Strong time management skills
• Current Drivers Licence
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
