Gain independence and life skillsFor some people being part of a work environment is inappropriate and can be difficult; it may be that you are not ready or are unable to participate in work activities at this time.
Day Options programmes offer a wide variety of recreational, leisure and developmental activities, to encourage you to become more independent by gaining life and social skills in a caring and supportive environment.
Whatever your specific training needs and goals and learning styles, we will work with you to develop an individual training plan and will review the plan regularly with you to ensure you are on target to achieve your personal goals.
Considering moving into supported employment, and need additional training and development prior to this happening? We offer a transitional programme to support you through this process. You will undertake 'hands on' skills development activities, training, work experience and, when ready, will be offered a position in one of Bedford's business areas.
Being part of a social network is also important in helping you to develop social skills and have a good time. Additional recreational and leisure activities are offered to Day Options members through 'Club Contact' including discos, outings, bowling and other entertainment.
As you build your own social networks, we can assist you to plan and arrange your own social actvities.
We offer a number of state quality accredited Day Options programmes across South Australia - in Adelaide, Port Pirie, Wallaroo, Port Lincoln and Millicent.
Check if you can join a Bedford Day Options programme by reviewing the eligibility criteria. Members are required to pay a fee to attend the daily activities offered on the programme.
Bedford Day Options programmes are funded by the state Government through the Department for Families and Communities.
