Learning new skills is a very important part of creating opportunities for yourself in the future - whether it is through work or in your personal life.
Everyone at Bedford is encouraged to take the opportunity to develop existing or new skills through accredited and non-accredited training.
Want to develop your independence and general life skills? We have a wide variety of courses available such as:

- Food safety
- Personal presentation
- Interpersonal skills
If you want to develop your work skills and receive a nationally accredited qualifcation so you can increase your work opportunities in the future, we offer access to TAFE training in subjects like:
- Hospitality
- Furniture Making
- Business Studies
- Laundry Operations
If you are unsure about what work you want to do in the future, you could get involved with our work experience programme.
This enables you to find out more about the work environment and develop your job application and interview skills. The programme can also assist you if you are currently at school and are looking for your first job.
