'Abilities for All' Programme

Monica Manek, Lee Greenham & Glenn Tamblyn from Bedford PackagingGain a nationally recognised qualification

Want to study for and gain a nationally recognised qualification in a subject like Hospitality, Furniture Making, Business Studies or Laundry Operations? Take part in the Bedford 'Abilities for All' programme to achieve this!

You would attend a TAFE session once a week, delivered by an industry trainer experienced in working with people with a disability.

In addition, to ensure your learning goals are met, a designated Workplace Coach would provide personal support in both the classroom and in the workplace.

Bedford and TAFE SA lead this state-wide programme with Government funding through the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology (DFEEST).

The Hon Paul Caica MP, the then Minister for Employment, Training and Further Education, announced at the 2008 Graduation ceremony that this successful programme will be extended to include community centres.

The South Australian Government and Bedford will now join forces with the Community and Neighbourhood Houses and Centres Association (CANH). This new partnership and the programme that’s been developed for this year will ensure training reaches local community centres and those in our community that are not involved in learning and employment.
