When love strikes it’s a beautiful thing! It was around five years ago when Tammika (Cleaning team) was first noticed by Mark (Manufacturing.) “He made the first move… he just came over and asked me to a movie,” Tammika says. While she can’t remember what the movie was, Mark must’ve made an impression on her. After two years, they were engaged.

They had plenty of time to plan their wedding during the extended lockdown periods of COVID, and recently tied the knot in early July at the picturesque Glanville Hall in Semaphore. Our Hospitality crew and work friends sent them off in style with a ‘pre-wedding’ cake, and although it was impressive (and tasty!), it didn’t quite match the butter cream marble cake at the wedding proper.

The bride’s gown was stunning, of course. A full princess skirt embellished with lace, and Tammika covered up with a pearl-studded denim jacket for the wintery outdoor photos. A delicate tiara and veil topped off the bride’s ensemble and she looked stunning against Mark in his dark grey three-piece suit and soft pink tie.

The bride and groom each had two attendants, as well as the very well-dressed Daisy – the adorable Maltese Shih Tzu, resplendent in pink.

The wedding went off without a hitch (apart from the obvious one that was supposed to happen), and the newlyweds spent their honeymoon in sunny Noosa, thawing out for a couple of weeks before returning to see their friends again at Bedford.

Congratulations to the happy couple, we wish you all the very best for a long and happy future together!
