As 2025 comes to a close, Bedford is proud to reflect on another year of significant progress and impact delivered through GreenInc, our social enterprise focused on landscape construction. This year’s achievements underscore a continued commitment to delivering sustainable environments while expanding meaningful employment opportunities for people of all abilities.
Enhancing Community Spaces
Throughout the year, GreenInc successfully constructed four new playgrounds across South Australia. These sites provide safe, accessible and welcoming spaces for children and families. Designed and delivered with care, each playground plays a role in fostering community connection and supporting active, outdoor lifestyles.
Transforming Urban and Natural Landscapes
Across a wide range of projects, our team installed 54,824 tube stock plants and 56,736 pots, delivering landscapes that enhance visual amenity, improve environmental health and create enjoyable public spaces. The Southern Expressway at Majors Road showcases this standard of work, where plantings are progressing strongly to deliver enduring environmental benefits.
Supporting Ecological Health Through Wetland Construction
One of GreenInc’s most impactful contributions this year was the successful construction of seven new wetlands. Wetlands play a crucial role in improving water quality, supporting biodiversity and creating natural recreational spaces. Each project, including the significant wetland development in Mount Barker, was delivered with careful environmental consideration and a focus on long-term ecological value.
Creating Vibrant Green Spaces Statewide
In total, GreenInc delivered 44 new green spaces throughout 2025. While each site differed in size and complexity, they all contributed to the same goal of enhancing natural environments while creating sustainable employment pathways for people of all abilities. GreenInc remains firmly committed to its mission of creating meaningful environmental and social impact, and the team is proud of the progress and outcomes achieved this year.
Industry Recognition for Excellence
GreenInc’s commitment to quality was recognised at the 2025 Master Landscapers of SA, Awards of Excellence, with awards presented for the Flinders Chase Visitor Information Centre and Paech Basin projects.
