John Eustace: Leading the Green Revolution in Adelaide
John Eustace is at the forefront of a green revolution across Adelaide Hills and Central Adelaide as Operations Manager at GreenInc. From Murray Bridge to Kangaroo Island, John leads a dedicated team reshaping outdoor spaces with a lasting, positive impact.
A Lifelong Passion for Landscaping
With 18 years in the industry, John’s love for landscaping goes beyond a job — it’s a lifelong passion. At GreenInc, he directs diverse, community-focused projects across South Australia, aiming to create spaces that benefit both the environment and the people who use them.
“Every site is different,” John explains. “From nature play spaces in Seaford to reserves in Victor Harbor, the goal is always the same: to create something lasting those benefits both the environment and community.”
Building Sustainable Spaces for the Community
In the growing Adelaide Hills, GreenInc is helping nature and community thrive. With native plantings and eco-friendly projects like water retention basins, the team ensures these spaces remain strong for generations.
“As the Hills region grows, so does our responsibility,” says John. “Our landscape construction projects invite communities to connect with nature — without disturbing its beauty.”
Fostering Growth Through Inclusive Employment
GreenInc is also making a profound social impact by creating opportunities for people of all abilities. Social impact is in GreenInc's DNA, as it grew out of our garden maintenance business, APG. GreenInc loves to see team members thrive and senior staff mentor and train colleagues, passing on skills in areas like site set-out, levelling, and irrigation system construction.
"The social side of GreenInc is extremely rewarding. We have a diverse team, and it is inspiring to see people who have faced barriers to employment succeed and thrive. It is about creating real opportunities — making sure everyone has a chance to learn, grow, and contribute in meaningful ways.”
Growing Deeper Roots in Adelaide Hills
In 2023, GreenInc opened a depot in Totness, Mount Barker, enhancing its ability to serve the growing community. This strategic move ensures they meet the rising demand for exceptional landscape construction while continuing to offer valuable employment and training opportunities.
“The Mount Barker depot has been a game-changer,” says John. “It helps us meet the growing demand while strengthening our presence in the region.”
Looking Ahead: A Legacy of Lasting Change
As GreenInc expands, John is excited about the future. Whether it is developing vibrant green spaces, installing water management systems, or constructing nature play areas, every project is a chance to leave a lasting impact.
“At the heart of what we do is creating spaces that connect people to nature and contribute to a healthier environment,” says John. “The work we do is about leaving a legacy — blending sustainable landscapes with a social enterprise that empowers people of all abilities.”
With a strong commitment to both the environment and community, John is shaping a greener, brighter future for Adelaide Hills and beyond — one project at a time!
