We offer fun, challenging, and capacity-building social activities to suit the needs of individuals and small groups.

Activities are run in the community, at home, or at a Bedford Experiences location.

If your NDIS plan includes Core funding for social and community participation, you can access Bedford's Experiences programs. If you do not have NDIS funding in this area but would like to join in, you can do so by self-funding your supports & services.

What can I do at Experiences?

Activities are grouped into two main areas : Independent Living Skills and Social & Recreation. Below are some examples of the types of activities you could participate in:

Independent Living Skills

  • Cooking
  • Numeracy & literacy
  • Cleaning
  • Budgeting
  • Computer skills

Social & Recreation

  • Art
  • Sports
  • Go-Karting
  • Bushwalking
  • Singing
  • Bowling
  • Community outings

New activities are added every few months.

We also have a great Summer Holiday schedule available in December and early January each year, along with our popular Social Saturdays! See more information below.

Social Saturdays

Make new friends, get out in the community and have fun on your Saturday.

Bedford’s Social Saturdays are group community-based activities where you’ll have the opportunity to try new experiences, spend time with friends and enjoy a fun day out.

You’ll have a say in choosing and planning the activities, from fruit picking to surfing or a trip to the movies – you can be guaranteed that no two Social Saturdays events will be the same!

Social Saturdays are currently offered at our metro Adelaide locations, including Elizabeth, Panorama and Torrensville.

Clients will need to pay an additional $30 per session on average to cover the cost of activities and lunch. The exact cost is dependent on the activity and each client will be updated monthly with a schedule of activities and outings with the costs outlined.

Summer Holiday Activities

Our 2023 Summer Holiday Activity program has just finished. The participants had lots of fun and learnt some new skills.

If you are on an NDIS plan and looking for something to do over the Christmas and New Year period, we’ve got lots of fun activities for you!

Next December you could find yourself going shopping, strawberry picking or having lunch by the river at Murray Bridge. In January, you could be doing anything from going to the cinema to racing around a go-kart track!

Check back here later in the year for information on our 2024 Holiday Activity Schedule!

How can I join?

You can access Experiences programs and supports at Panorama, Torrensville, Elizabeth, Mount Gambier, Port Pirie, Port Lincoln and Wallaroo!
